What are Systemic Constellations?

In a nutshell, Systemic Constellations is an approach to understanding the invisible dynamics and relationship systems that influence our decisions and perceived blocks. The systemic approach is a method of problem solving based on systemic theory originally developed by a well respected psychologist, Bert Hellinger. This theory invites people to consider the ‘whole’ system to which they or the team belongs rather than the ‘parts’. This is extremely powerful when working with individuals/teams as they are guided to step back and consider the entire system and not just an individual, product, strategy, membership or the like. It informs a way of providing guidance to individuals/teams that relies on the natural principles of time, place, exchange, and belonging.

How do you do ‘it’?

Systemic Constellations involves setting up a map of people or objects to highlight and explore dynamics and blocks being experienced by an individual, team, or organisation. They are a specific systemic tool which involves visual mapping of an issue that ignites change. A constellation explores and looks at a problem in a fresh way where maybe other approaches of standard coaching or problem solving haven’t resolved the issue. Systemic Constellations can be applied in many diferent ways for individuals, teams, and organisations for problems that appear to be related to people, technology, strategy, places, products, groups, or the like.

Why do you think it’s amazing?

One of the many things I love about constellations is that the ‘next steps’ are often not onerous which is good when you already feel overwhelmed! Rather than leaving with a ‘list’ of actions, its more common to leave having deep insights and a new perspective on the issue. Therefore, women report that when faced with the issue after a constellation, they easily make different decisions and take alternate actions having blocks removed and negative emotions cleared. In other words, you get back in flow and things feel easier.

So, if you…

find yourself or your team stuck, or can't pinpoint the issue, or keep 'ending up back here', a systemic constellation is an ideal way to give you/your team greater insight and clarity on the next steps to get back in flow.

“I had never done constellation work before but I connected to the concept and Renata, so I booked a session. I found it to be so enlightening to see myself and my block in physical form on the table. Throughout the process everything made sense and by the end of the session, I knew what I needed to do next to get to where I want to go. It was extremely empowering! Renata is a wonderful facilitator of this work and gentle in her approach. Thank you.”

"I have been lucky enough to see Renata in action both in a team environment and one to one. She uses a systemic constellations approach to get to the heart of the problem. Never heard of this approach? Neither had I, but it was something that I will never forget."
